7th February 2019 ACLCA Bi-Monthly Networking Meeting

ACLCA Qld will be holding the next Bi-Monthly Networking Meeting Thursday 7th February 2019.

PLEASE NOTE REGISTRATIONS HAVE CLOSED FOR THIS MEETING

The Bi-Monthly Networking Meetings provide an opportunity for presentations workshops and forums on varied topics of interest or currency of legislation within the Contaminated Land Industry. This is a social evening, with a chance for consultants to network.

This meeting will consist of the following presentations

1.     Presentation Brian Fainton (ERM) - DA’s and their relevance to contaminated land.

Presentation Overview:

Environmental Licensing in Queensland: Development Approval? Environmental Authority? Local Government or State Government? The approval and licencing of Environmentally Relevant Activities in Queensland can be a bit of a minefield. Contaminated Land Practitioners typically have no or limited planning knowledge at the start of their careers, yet the management of contaminated land (actual or potential) is directly linked to requirements under both the EP Act and Planning legislation. The understanding of planning requirements relating to the licensing of ERA’s enables the practitioner to better advise their clients of their responsibilities and compliance requirements.

2.     Presentation Sharon Suzor (AECOM) - ‘Stakeholder Engagement for Contaminated Sites PFAS Projects’. Case Studies
