‘Determining Laboratory Uncertainties through Conceptual Site model Refinement’ - Vanessa White and Victoria Sedwick, Ramboll Australia.
This presentation highlights the importance of a conceptual site model (CSM) for achieving a robust understanding of site contamination. At a manufacturing facility which has been operating since the 1950s, nitrogen compounds and formaldehyde contamination were identified in previous groundwater investigations at the site. Consideration of the possible reasons for fluctuating results, identified the potential for false positives through the analytical method initially adopted. The process of refining the CSM and investigating the analytical methodologies will be explored in this case study.
Please RSVP by Monday 29th October.
