NSW EPA: ‘National Environmental Management Plan Version 2.0’
David Gathercole will present on the additional guidance included in the revised National Environmental Management Plan.
David is the Manager of Strategic Regulation and heads the NSW PFAS Investigation Program. David has been with the NSW EPA for 20 years.
NSW EPA: ‘CLM Regulatory and Policy Update’
Joanne Stuart will provide an overview of recent and forthcoming policy updates.
Joanne is the Manager of Strategic Policy and Programs in the Contaminated Land Management Section of the NSW EPA. Having worked at the NSW EPA for over 20 years, Joanne is currently overseeing the remake of the Underground Petroleum Storage Systems Regulation and the updating of a number of guidelines made under the Contaminated Land Management Act.
NSW EPA: ‘Contaminated Land Management in NSW – the Regulator’s Perspective’
Rob Hogan will cover a regulators perspective on contaminated land management in NSW.
Rob has a broad range of experience across NSW Government over the past two decades, including biosolids and water programs and policy, waste regulation, the Williamtown PFAS contamination investigation, and behavioural and regulatory programs around asbestos.
Local Authority: ‘Councils’ Views and Responses to the Contaminated Land Changes and Impending Responsibilities’
Phillippa Biswell will provide an overview of the recent and imminent changes to how local authorities deal with contaminated land.
Phillippa is an Environmental Project Officer – Earth Scientist at Sutherland Shire Council with a background in contamination assessment and remediation. Phillippa has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and has worked at Sutherland Shire Council since 2004.
