Asbestos in Soils (ASBINS) has been discussed widely with Stakeholders, Regulators, Consultants and Contractors for decades. With a pending review of the Western Australian Guidelines for the Assessment, Remediation and Management of Asbestos-Contaminated Sites, the presentation will share insights on implementation of different sampling, remediation and validation techniques used on a project in Western Sydney. The investigation and remediation program used in-situ and ex-situ methods to avoid unnecessary disposal to landfill and may assist in selecting an appropriate strategy for your next ASBINS site.
