Marika Sallot des Noyers from Menard (a geotechnical contracting company who also have experience in remediation) will be presenting case studies on in situ containment and remediation. The case studies will not only discuss the chemical characterisation required to implement these techniques, but also the physical aspects that need to be considered. The case studies will cover a range of chemicals (heavy metals, solvents and hydrocarbons) and remedial methods including cut-off walls, permeable reactive barriers and soil mixing.
