Special Presentation for members - Monday 18th September 2017
LNAPL Source Zone Natural Attenuation as Delineation Tool and Remedy - Matthew Rousseau, GHD Canada.
Source Zone Natural Attenuation (SZNA) is a tool rapidly gaining traction in the contaminated land industry for both assessing and closing out LNAPL impacted sites. Matt will be presenting on case studies from Canada and Australia using two methods – the dynamic flux chamber method and CO2 traps - which use stoichiometric relationships to calculate LNAPL degradation rates. The data presented here supports a growing body of work demonstrating that SZNA should be a fundamental consideration for the remediation or management of LNAPL.
The presentation will also include a demonstration with the flux chamber, showing how rapid it is to deploy.
