CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) MODULES FOR CONTAMINATED LAND CONSULTANTS.
One of the core values and aims of ACLCA is to provide relevant, topical and up-to-date training and professional development to its members, so that individuals within member companies can and will maintain and improve the technical and professional standards and skills of member companies.
ACLCA Qld will be been running foundation training in early - mid 2022 on Environmental Site Assessment geared towards graduates and new entries into the industry. ACLCA is confident that the training covers all major aspects of the contaminated land practice at a level of detail suitable for practitioners new to the field. CPD module workshops will be run as a combination of webinar and face to face workshops during 2022.

Module 2b: Field Investigations
The objective of this session is to demonstrate the methodology for obtaining relevant, reliable soil, soil vapour and groundwater samples, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements.
By the end of this session you should have a general introduction to the various methods for obtaining soil, soil vapour and groundwater samples.
Facilitator: Ben Lumsden Jacobs - Senior Contaminated Land Consultant
Ben is a senior environmental scientist, specialising in contaminated land assessment with over 13 years’ professional industry experience. Ben has an extensive background in a broad range of disciplines including contaminated land, environmental compliance monitoring, groundwater investigation, construction environmental management, environmental research, and acid sulfate soils in the construction, oil and gas, and agricultural industries.
He has managed projects and investigations for local and state governments, petroleum companies, land developers, land owners and civil contractors, and has worked in many different environments across Australia and New Zealand.
