CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) MODULES FOR CONTAMINATED LAND CONSULTANTS.
One of the core values and aims of ACLCA is to provide relevant, topical and up-to-date training and professional development to its members, so that individuals within member companies can and will maintain and improve the technical and professional standards and skills of member companies.
ACLCA Qld will be been running foundation training in 2022 on Environmental Site Assessment geared towards graduates and new entries into the industry. ACLCA is confident that the training covers all major aspects of the contaminated land practice at a level of detail suitable for practitioners new to the field. CPD module workshops will be run as a combination of webinar and face to face workshops during 2022.
Module 3: Phase 2 Site Assessments (Interpretation and Reporting)
Introduction and Module Overview
The objective of this Module is to provide a functional overview of the Environmental Site Assessment process.

• Introduction of Relevant Documents/Guidelines
• ESA Data Quality Validation
• Assessing the Soil and Groundwater Results
• Update Site Conceptual Models
Facilitator: Georgina Kerr, Senior Consultant, Environment and Planning, Aurecon. Georgina is a suitably qualified environmental scientist with 11 years’ experience working in the contaminated land and environmental impact assessment fields across Australia. She has managed a wide range of contaminated soil and groundwater projects from investigation stages through to remediation and validation stages. Her favourite pastime is taking large complicated datasets and turning them into a clear and easily understood reports.
Co-Facilitator: Ryan Stewart, Senior Consultant, Environment and Planning, Aurecon. Ryan is a Senior Consultant working in the Environment and Planning team who has eleven years’ experience consulting in the contaminated land industry. Ryan’s experience encompasses the eastern coast of Australia where he has worked across development (green/brown field), industrial, up/down stream energy sectors, aviation, and as an Auditor’s assistant. His current enforced favourite pastime, is trying to finish postgrad study by the end of this year.
