ACLCA Qld will run foundation training in 2021 on Environmental Site Assessment geared towards graduates and new entries into the industry. ACLCA is confident that the training covers all major aspects of the contaminated land practice at a level of detail suitable for practitioners new to the field.
The modules currently include the following topics and are presented by highly experienced practitioners in the field.
Module 1: Phase 1 Introduction to Environmental Site Assessments
Module 2a: Phase 2 Sampling, Analysis and Quality Plan – 25th March 2021 Workshop Webinar
Module 2b: Field Investigations – 25th March 2021 Workshop Webinar
Module 3: Phase 2 Site Assessments (Interpretation and Reporting) – Thursday 29th April 2021 Workshop Webinar
Module 1: Phase 1 Introduction to Environmental Site Assessments
The objective of this module is to provide an updated and overall introduction to the key elements of Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), What is a Phase 1 Assessment? Why are Phase 1 assessments so important? How a good Phase 1 sets up a good Phase 2. How can a Conceptual Site Model add value to your understanding of a site?
By the end of this session you should gain an understanding of the importance of a desktop study, the range of information available and review methods, and how to apply this to develop an understanding of site history, potential contamination sources and presence of contamination at a site. We will also touch on the preparation of Conceptual Site Models and how they assist the understanding of environmental risks at a site.
