ACLCA Qld will be running foundation training in 2023 on Environmental Site Assessment geared towards graduates and new entries into the industry. ACLCA is confident that the training covers all major aspects of the contaminated land practice at a level of detail suitable for practitioners new to the field. CPD module workshops will be run as a combination of webinar (when possible) and face to face workshops during 2023.
Module 2a: Phase 2 Sampling, Analysis and Quality Plan
Who should attend:
This module will target recent graduates and professionals new to the contaminated land industry.
Introduction and Module Overview
QLD Auditor Guidelines Section 3.15: The contaminated land investigation document must demonstrate that the investigation components of an assessment of site contamination listed in Section 1 of Schedule B2 of the contaminated land NEPM have been conducted for every stage of investigation. The components include a conceptual site model, data quality objectives, a sampling strategy, and a sampling and analysis quality plan. Those components should be updated as the investigations acquire better information about the site.
By the end of the session you will:
1. Understand the importance of the systematic planning process in the collection of environmental data
2. Understand why data collected must be representative for site assessment decisions
3. Understand the process for development of Data Quality Objectives (DQOs), identification of Data Gaps and design of Sampling Analysis and Quality Plans (SAQPs)
4. Have the tools and resources to use these design tools for your SAQPs and to assess third-party SAQPs
Facilitator: Luke Amies: Epic Environmental Pty Ltd. Associate Environmental Scientist.
