ACLCA Member Presentation - Safety Around Drilling

Welcome to ACLCA Victoria's first Member Presentation for 2020!

The March Monthly Member Presentation is presented to you by our Occupational Health and Safety Focus Area (OHS FA) and focusses on SAFETY AROUND DRILLING WORKS in the context of activities that apply to ACLCA member companies.

Drilling rigs are key types of equipment used by contaminated land consultants when conducting soil, soil vapour and groundwater investigations. Drilling rigs, the associated equipment and conditions encountered at drill sites present a range of hazards, which if not carefully managed, may result in serious injury or even death.

The upcoming OHSFA presentation will explore the hazards associated with drilling works and provide guidance on how to stay safe.

The presentation will be given by Ron Terpstra of Star Drilling, who is an experienced operator, with not only insights from many years of working with drilling rigs on contaminated sites, but also perspective from his time as a WorkSafe inspector.

Site-based consultants, project managers and others in the industry should tune in to gain invaluable advice on how to maintain a safe workplace at drill sites.

THIS EVENT IS BEING RECORDED ON LINE AND A LINK TO THE RECORDING WILL BE SENT OUT TO ALL MEMBERS EARLY APRIL
