ACLCA welcomes Sam Johnson (DELWP) and Dru Marsh (EPA) to update our members on the Draft Regulations and Environmental Reference Standards, released for comment on the 2nd September 2019, that will form the subordinate legislation under the Environment Protection Act (2017) and Environment Protection Amendment Act 2018.
Sam Johnson is a Senior Policy Officer at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning who was instrumental in the development of reforms following the Independent Inquiry into the Environment Protection Authority (EPA). His work includes contaminated land policy incorporated into the Environment Protection Amendment Act 2018, and the recently released draft Environment Protection Regulations 2020 and supporting subordinate instruments. Dru Marsh is Senior Legal Policy Officer, Policy and Regulation, and has been working on the Reform Program for four years.
Representatives of the Waste Reform Program will also be speaking and presenting on changes to the Waste framework including changes to Waste Soil assessment and management.
